French media has reported that Dassault Aviation’s Rafael-F4 is seen as the front runner for India’s $20 billion MRFA program and this deal for the purchase of 114 Rafale fighter jets might be concluded between September and October 2022.

French media also claimed that the order for 27 Rafale-M carrier-based variant is also front-runner for the Indian Navy deal as the Navy always opts for fighter jets that are already in service with the Indian Air Force to take advantage of the common platform and also in training the pilots and crew.

Dassault Aviation has also announced that Rafael-F5 standard will also begin development work in 2023 that will come with Next Generation Sensors and Armaments.
