Indian Air Force to issue RFP for MRFA in mid-2024

According to a media report, the Indian Air Force’s MRFA tender to procure 114 fighter jets might finally see the light of the day as the Service Quantitative Requirements will be finalized by end of this year which will set the stage to issue a Request For Proposal (RFP) in mid- of 2024.

The MRFA tender will see the entry of Sukhoi Su-35 and F-15EX that were not part of the previous MMRCA tender due to which they will require thyroid technical evaluation trials while other contenders will be tested only for capabilities that were not available during technical evaluation trial at the previous MMRCA tender.
