New Archer-NG UAV first flight in June 2023 : TAPAS BH-201 MALE UAV to make flying debut at Aero India 2023

TAPAS BH-201 Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) UAV by HAL and BEL


As per the HAL CMD, a new Archer-NG (Next Generation) UAV will conduct its first flight in June this year and it can carry 300 kilograms of weaponry including Smart Anti-Airfield Weapon (SAAW) and Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGMs) made by DRDO. The Archer-NG is probably be the long-expected HALE (High Altitude Long Endurance) twin-boom UAV that was earlier unveiled by DRDO last year and reported by IgMp.

On the other hand, the TAPAS BH-201 Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Drone will make a flying debut at the Aero India 2023, and real-time feed from the UAV will also be streamed throughout the venue.

The TAPAS is getting ready for formal user evaluation by the Armed Forces after which it will be sent for production by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL).
