Achieving a notable milestone, the inaugural Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas Mk1A fighter jet has successfully concluded its Low-Speed Taxi Trials (LSTT) on Monday, as reported by renowned defense journalist Anantha Krishnan M.

These initial assessments set the stage for the aircraft to undergo more stringent Ground trials, including High-Speed Taxi Trials (HSTT), in preparation for its highly anticipated maiden flight, tentatively slated for March 18th or shortly thereafter.

There is a possibility that Prime Minister Modi may remotely witness this historic moment.

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is targeting to deliver the first pair of LCA Tejas Mk1A fighter jets to the Indian Air Force (IAF) by April. This development paves the way for the establishment of the initial squadron later this year, expected to be based at the NAL Air Base Station in Rajasthan’s Bikaner district, a strategically significant forward airbase.
