HAL Chairman confirms start of the Tejas Mk1A scheduled delivery to IAF by February 2024

The Chairman of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Shri Ananthakrishnan has confirmed that the first Tejas Mark 1A fighter jet will be handed over to the Indian Air Force in February 2024 and at least two Tejas Mark 1A aircraft will be delivered to the Indian Air Force by March 2024.

The timely delivery of the Mark 1A version with 43 improvements and new long-range standoff weapons such as the BrahMos-NG e will further bolster India’s aerial defense capabilities.

Tejas Mark 1A with Astra Mk-1, Astra Mk-2, BrahMos-NG, Rudram-1, Rudram-2, Hammer missiles package and with indigenous Uttam AESA radar will be a potent fighter jet in the air for the Indian Air Force, boosting its overall fleet of AESA radar equipped modern fighter jets. start of the Tejas Mk1A scheduled delivery to IAF by February 2024 IgMp
